Tony is a dedicated educational leader with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Tony serves as the Executive Principal at Trinity Bay State High School. With a wealth of experience in First Nations education, he is committed to leading a culture that enables every student to achieve to their potential.
Known for his experience in leading schools isolated, remote and rural settings, Tony currently applies his knowledge in Australia’s largest single site First Nations school to make a difference to the lives of students in the centre of Cairns. Passionate about building a positive workplace culture that welcomes and enhances life outcomes for students, he models his behaviours on the positive attributes of the values continua. He leads work that influences educational practice for students and staff at both a school and regional level and is an active leader as the regional co-chair of the Qld Secondary Principal Association.
Under Tony's leadership, Trinity Bay SHS staff are challenging themselves to focus on the social and academic outcomes of students so that they have the capability to be inquisitive lifelong learners and make valuable contributions to their communities. He champions socially equitable practices, ensuring each individual feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential. Tony is not just an administrator, but acts a mentor for aspiring leaders and advocate for students and staff in disadvantaged locations.
