Richard has been an accredited consultant in Systems Leadership for the past 5 years, specialising in working with school leaders.

Previously he was an Assistant Regional Director in the public education sector for 8 years in the Far North Queensland region of Australia. In this role, Richard developed a strong understanding of SL theory, applying this knowledge in working with school leaders. For about 15 years previous to this role, he held principal and other leadership roles in Queensland public schools.

Currently, Richard works with school leaders across the gamut of school operations:

Delivering tailored SL courses to school leaders and aspirants.

Coaching and mentoring leaders to deepen their understandings of the concepts, models and tools and assisting them to build their capability.

Undertaking reviews of aspects of school operations, e.g., organisational structure, workloads, role definition and clarity, systems, culture, etc..

He has particular interests and skills in assisting school principals and leaders (a) to develop and embed effective and positive line management systems and (b) to design and implement high functioning systems.
