In a career spanning over 40 years, David has had experience in industries that include mining, processing, and manufacturing.

During his career he has had both operational and support roles at various levels in the organisations in which he has worked. Towards the end of his industrial career David held several senior positions in these organizations, including company CEO and Managing Director and, separately, the Director for Health, Safety and Environment and Safety Adviser to the CEO of a multinational company. In each of his roles, David has made extensive use of the systems leadership theories and models to help in his work. 

More recently, David has applied the systems thinking to his work as a safety leadership consultant as well as his current Board position of a not-for-profit organization helping people with disabilities. 

David is based in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
