David has worked in the resources, energy and manufacturing industries globally. His career experience ranges from front line and operations leadership to executive leadership, advisory and consulting roles with top tier firms including BHP, Worley, Vale, Xstrata Copper, MIM and Rio Tinto.

David also has considerable management advisory experience in the not-for-profit, resources R&D and government sectors including electricity generation and transmission.

David’s areas of expertise include organisational review and problem solving, structure optimisation, systems review and improvement, leadership and teamwork, executive recruitment, role design and performance management. The quality of his work and related outcomes in all these areas has been enhanced through the application and integration of Systems Leadership principles.

David’s learning and practice with Systems Leadership started in the early 1990’s in Rio Tinto operations in Australia. He is an Associate of Macdonald Associates Consultancy, Associate of Response Group Consulting, a founding member of the Systems Leadership Development Association and its operating committee, and author of the SLDA Charter.
